Weapons (2025)
Like with the uncanny valley, sometimes the scariest or most unsettling images come from seemingly normal things that are just ever so slightly off. An image of kids running through an idyllic neighborhood doesn't sound like the stuff horror posters are made of. But there are just enough things off with this image to make it unsettling and hint at something terribly wrong. Then a few lines of text hint at the awful truth of what is actually happening. A haunting and very memorable poster design.
